The Berrings Macra club was established in 1957 and currently has 38 affiliated members. The club currently has a wide range of members with age profiles scanning from 17 to 35 and from all different walks of life with teachers, students, radiographers and farmers to name a few.

The past twelve months have been jam-packed and fun-filled for all in Berrings Macra. With activities including carol singing, entertaining senior citizens, sports nights and debating there’s never a dull moment. Members have thoroughly enjoyed taking part in all 6 key areas of Macra. Reaching seven national finals, to scoop five national titles last year was a triumphant one to say the least. From coming 2nd in the FBD Capers competition to winning the Bord Bia Senior Beef Stock Judging Berrings Macra truly is a dynamic club. Winning International Miss Macra and coming 2nd in Club of the Year have been recent highlights for the club.

Berrings has also been busy getting involved at a community level. Members have actively participated in and organised charity fundraising events for local, national and international charities. Club weekends away contribute to the camaraderie within the club, with a home-cooked Macra family dinner being one of the highlights of any weekend.
What is Macra?
